Walking tour. Our starting point is the famous sycamore tree on Mintz Street. This impressive 1,000-year-old tree has an amazing 8-meter circumference. We will begin our walk by passing through the Municipal Hall of Culture, the colorful outdoor market, and Zion Square, which was the location for Hotel Eden, Netanya's very first hotel. We will also pass by the legendary Sharon Cinema. After crossing the Herzl Street pedestrian area, we will listen to stories of the Irgun (the pre-state Jewish militant group) by Beit Hamosadot on 15 Herzl Street, before continuing via Beckman Alley, where the first Magen David Adom first-aid station was located. Nearby is Bialik School, the first school to be established in the city. The tour ends near Ester Cinema and Gan Hamelech (the king's garden).
